Keith Odle – Class of 1952

Keith Odle was born to Al and Genevieve Odle on June 2, 1934 in Sparks, Nevada.  He has two siblings, Jewel and Edythe.  While attending Sparks High School, Keith was involved in extracurricular activities including B team basketball, theatre, forensics, and Lions Club.  Keith was also Student Body Vice President his senior year.  Keith couldn’t point out a favorite memory from high school; he said that all his years were great.

            After graduating in 1952, Keith married Dyan Miller on April 18, 1953.  They have four children: Debra, Holly, Greg, and Eric.  Keith considers his union and the four children his foremost achievements in life.  After twenty-one years, Keith graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a BS in education.  Keith is passionate about history and his advice for students is “Endeavor to persevere.”

            In 1998 Keith teamed with Neil Baker to organize the Sparks High Alumni Association’s first all school reunion.  The first reunion was attended by 1500 alumni.  This would not have been possible without the help of the forty other volunteers who joined Neil and Keith.
