Charles “Chuck” Siddall ~ Class of 1962
Charles Siddal was born in Berkeley, California on October 28, 1944, and moved to Sparks, Nevada in 1950. He attended Robert Mitchell Elementary School, St. Thomas Aquinas Elementary School, Sparks Middle School, and graduated from Sparks High School in 1962. In 1968, Charles graduated from the University of Nevada with a bachelor’s Degree in Education, and in 1987 received his Master’s Degree in School Administration. In 1987, he helped start the Sparks High School Class of ’62 scholarship program, which awards scholarships to deserving Sparks High students.
Charles began teaching and coaching at Sparks Middle School in 1970. He also coached football at Hug High School in 1970-1972, basketball at McQueen High School in 1987-1989, and golf at Sparks High School in 1990-1993. After teaching at Sparks Middle School for 23 years he retired in 1993. He was honored by having the school gym named after him. Recently, he started the PARS for Parkinson’s golf tournament and works in the community to raise money for Parkinson’s research. Charles Siddall has been married to Marlene Siddall for 46 years. He has two daughters, and two grandchildren. Since retiring Chuck has stayed involved in the scholarship program. He enjoys golfing, traveling, and attending UNR sporting events.
